On her Instagram, the 26-year-old daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love has uploaded a snippet of her performing a new song she wrote. The clip features Frances strumming an acoustic guitar as she sings lyrics such as “It’s hard to be alive.”
Throughout the year, Cobain — who’s largely shied away from the music world in favor of visual art during her life — has been sharing small previews of original songs. She uploaded the first clip in April, the night before the 24th anniversary of her father’s death.
Cobain has previously said she eventually plans to release full versions of her songs.
