Courtesy of Rocket 88In celebration of Foreigner‘s upcoming 40th anniversary, a new official biography about the band will be published next year, told in the words of founding guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones. The book, titled A Foreigner’s Tale, will available in various formats exclusively at ForeignerBook.com.

A Foreigner’s Tale will feature Jones’ recollections of his famous band’s rise to fame in the late 1970s, its chart-topping success in the 1980s and more. The book also will delve into Mick’s life prior to the formation of Foreigner, including his childhood years in England during the 1950s, his adventures with his early group Nero and the Gladiators, his 1960s work with the French singers Sylvie Vartan and Johnny Hallyday, and his musical experiences with such artists as Spooky Tooth, George Harrison and Leslie West.

Enhancing A Foreigner’s Tale will be plenty of photos of Foreigner, including rare candid pics, and images of the band in the studio and onstage. The book also will feature photos of Foreigner-related artwork and memorabilia, as well as of Jones’ guitar collection.

Fans who register at ForeignerBook.com will have the chance to pre-order the biography for a discounted price, and also will have the chance to get their name in the book.
