Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, ex-R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, and Patti Smith will perform at this year’s Pathway to Paris concert, an event held to raise awareness about climate change. The show takes place November 5 at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
Other Pathway to Paris performers include rapper Talib Kweli, indie-rock singer/songwriter Cat Power and Jesse Paris Smith, Patti’s daughter, who co-founded the event. The night also will feature talks from environmentalists and activists.
This year’s event will be held on the eve of the COP 23 United Nations climate-change conference, running from November 6 to November 17 in Bonn, Germany. For ticket info, visit CarnegieHall.com.
The inaugural Pathway to Paris concert, held December 2015, featured performances from Flea, Smith and Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke.
