In a message posted last week on his official Facebook page, DeYoung notes, “I’ve been meticulous with this project because of the importance you guys place upon it and the simple fact that this will most likely be my last.”

He adds, “Never thought I would be recording at 71 so to me this is all extra credit. I promise it will be good one.”

In an earlier Facebook post, Dennis reveals that one song on the upcoming album was co-written with founding Survivor and Ides of March member Jim Peterik.  The same track will also appear on the next record by Peterik’s star-studded World Stage project, due out this spring.

DeYoung also reports that he and Peterik recently shot a video for the song, photos from which have been posted on Jim’s Facebook page.

Dennis most recent studio album, One Hundred Years from Now, was released in the U.S. in 2009.

In other news, DeYoung has a bunch of U.S. concerts lined up for 2019, starting with a February 1 show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and wrapping up May 4 in Rosemont, Illinois.
