Tabatha Fireman/RedfernsElvis Costello is tapping into a new audience with his latest project — Amazon’s music-driven animated kids’ TV series Pete the Cat.

Based on author/illustrator James Dean‘s best-selling children’s books of the same name, Pete the Cat will encourage kids to “explore” their world and “try new things,” while staying “curious, creative, and positive,” according to Amazon.

Not only will Costello provide the voice of the lead character’s dad, he’ll also provide original music for the series, along with his wife, jazz singer and pianist Diana Krall, who will voice the lead character’s mom as well.

Pete the Cat features Wonder and The Book of Henry‘s Jacob Tremblay voicing the titular character. Jessica Biel, The Middle‘s Atticus Shaffer and Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall also star.

Pete the Cat will be available for streaming on September 21.
