Courtesy of Christmas JamDave Grohl is among the artists who’ll perform at the 30th annual edition of ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist Warren Haynes‘ Christmas Jam benefit concert, which this year will be a two-day event held December 7 and 8 at U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, North Carolina.

The Foo Fighters frontman’s set, taking place on December 8, will feature the debut live performance of Play, which is a 23-minute recording featuring Grohl on every instrument. The performance is actually billed as “Dave Grohl and Friends,” so fans can expect a number of guests to join him on stage.

Haynes’ band, Gov’t Mule, will play both days of the event, with the group slated to perform a set of Pink Floyd covers under its Dark Side of the Mule moniker on December 7. Other artists playing this year’s show include popular blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, My Morning Jacket‘s Jim James, Phish‘s Mike Gordon, Grace Potter, and country singers Jamey Johnson and Eric Church.

Various guest musicians also will take part in the benefit, including ex-Black Crowes guitarist Audley Freed and former Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist Robert Kearns.

Haynes’ annual Christmas Jam raises money for the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity.

In conjunction with the main Christmas Jam show, a number of related “Xmas Jam by Day” events — including performances and an art show — will be held in Asheville around the date of the benefit concert. In addition, the annual “Before the Jam, Lend a Hand” event will bring fans, artists and staff members together to help build houses funded by money raised by Christmas Jam.

Tickets for Christmas Jam go on sale to the public on October 26, while pre-sale tickets will be available starting this Friday, October 19. Visit XMasJam.com for the full lineup and ticket info.
