Cheap Trick‘s creative flame is still burning bright, and the power-pop legends have just announced plans to release a brand-new single called “The Summer Looks Good on You” on Friday, May 18. The date coincides will the launch of the Nothin’ but a Good Time Tour, which will see the 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees team up with Poison.
Cheap Trick co-produced “The Summer Looks Good on You” with longtime collaborator Julian Raymond, who also worked on the prolific band’s recent studio albums — 2016’s Bang, Zoom, Crazy… Hello and 2017’s We’re All Alright! and Christmas Christmas.
The Nothin’ but a Good Time Tour gets underway with a show in Irvine, California, and is plotted out through a July 1 concert in Hollywood, Florida. Cheap Trick’s 2018 schedule also includes headlining dates, festival appearances and select performances with Lynyrd Skynyrd, with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and with Journey and Def Leppard.
