Danny Clinch; Alasdair McLellanBruce Springsteen is a true gentleman. According to U.K.’s The Mirror, the New Jersey rocker gave pop superstar Adele his jacket during his chilly outdoor Rock in Rio concert in Lisbon, Portugal, last week.

Adele reportedly recounted his kind act during her own Lisbon show over the weekend.

“I was wearing a ridiculous skirt, which was silly. It gets quite windy in Lisbon,” The Mirror quotes her as saying. “I had a little thin [sweater] on, and Bruce came out and said, ‘You’re going to be cold.’ I was a bit drunk, I’d had four glasses of wine, so I said I’d be fine.”

Needless to say, the Boss was right. “He gave me his coat — so I was watching the show, wearing his coat,” Adele said. “I was too embarrassed to try to put my arms in because, obviously, too small. So I just wore it on my shoulders.”

The European leg of Springsteen and his E Street Band‘s 2016 The River Tour continues Wednesday, May 24, with a show in Manchester, U.K. The overseas outing winds down with a July 31 concert in Zurich, Switzerland. Meanwhile, Bruce has just added a second show at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, on September 9, to his upcoming U.S. itinerary. The stateside trek gets underway August 23 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
