A home video version of the hugely successful 2018 Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody will be released February 12 on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD disc, and January 22 digitally.
All versions of the video will feature the full-length film, plus a bonus segment with a full-length recreation of the band’s historic 1985 Live Aid performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The 22-minute performance includes footage of the actors portraying Queen playing two songs not featured in the scene shown in the movie: “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “We Will Rock You.”
The Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD disc and digital editions of the Bohemian Rhapsody video also will include behind-the-scenes segments with the movie’s cast and Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor discussing the making of the flick.
A promotional clip for the Bohemian Rhapsody home video featuring the film’s stars, May and Taylor discussing the Live Aid recreation has been posted on 20th Century Fox’s official YouTube channel. The video includes a side-by-side look at footage from the original performance and the dramatization shot for the movie.
Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Mr. Robot‘s Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, follows Queen’s rise to fame up until its performance at Live Aid. You can pre-order the home video now at FoxMovies.com.
