Capitol Records/UMeHe may love that old-time rock and roll, but Bob Seger is getting ready to release some brand-new rock music in the coming weeks. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has unveiled full details of his forthcoming studio album, I Knew You When, which will arrive in stores on November 17.

The album, which is available in a 10-song standard version and a 13-track deluxe edition, can be pre-ordered now at BobSeger.com. I Knew You When features Seger’s cover of the late Lou Reed‘s “Busload of Faith,” which he released to radio last month, and which is now available as a digital single and via streaming services.

The album, which was recorded in Nashville and Detroit, also features a rendition of the late Leonard Cohen‘s politically charged “Democracy,” while the deluxe edition includes Seger’s heartfelt tribute to his late friend Glenn Frey of The Eagles — “Glenn Song.” Bob has dedicated the record as a whole to Glenn.

The standard version of I Knew You When can be purchased on CD and as a 130-gram vinyl LP, and the deluxe edition will be available on CD, as a digital download and via select streaming services.

A limited number of special bundles featuring versions of the album packaged with Seger-themed merch items will be sold exclusively at BobSeger.com.

As previously reported, Seger recently postponed the last 19 dates of his 2017 fall tour with his Silver Bullet Band because of an emergency medical issue involving his back. No word yet on when the shows will be rescheduled.
