Credit: William ClaxtonBob Dylan will perform at two stops of a newly announced traveling version of the Willie Nelson-headlined Outlaw Music Festival, which debuted last September in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Dylan and his band are part of the lineup for Outlaw Music Festival Tour dates on July 8 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, and July 9 at Summerfest in Milwaukee.
The initial leg of the trek, which includes a total of six concerts, kicks off July 1 in New Orleans and runs through a July 16 stop in Syracuse, New York. The tour also will visit Dallas on July 2 and Rogers, Arkansas, on July 6.
Joining Nelson at all of the announced performances will be Sheryl Crow. Other acts taking part in select dates of the trek include Willie’s son Lukas‘ group, Promise of the Real, The Avett Brothers, Margo Price, My Morning Jacket, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.
In addition to the various performances, the festival events will showcase local cuisine and beer, as well as crafts from local artisans.
Tickets for all six Outlaw Music Festival Tour dates go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages also will be available. A second leg of the trek is expected to be announced soon. Visit OutlawMusicFest.com for more information.
Dylan’s appearances at the festival tour are part of his previously reported 2017 North American trek, which begins with a June 13-15 stand in Port Chester, New York, and is plotted out through a July 27 show in Victoria, Canada.
