Credit: Ross HalfinGreat news to report about Joe Perry: the legendary Aerosmith guitarist, who was hospitalized earlier this month after collapsing onstage while performing with the Hollywood Vampires supergroup, will rejoin the latter band’s U.S. tour tonight.
The Hollywood Vampires, which also feature Alice Cooper and actor Johnny Depp, perform this evening in Rohnert Park, California.
A message on the band’s official website reports that Perry “will be with us thru the end” of the trek, which wraps up this Monday, July 25, with a show in Paso Robles, California.
Perry became ill on July 10 during a show in Brooklyn, New York, and The Hollywood Vampires subsequently canceled an appearance the next night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, although they continued to tour without Joe.
The 65-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is scheduled to hit the road with Aerosmith for a series of fall concerts that begins with a September 17 appearance at the Kaaboo Festival in Del Mar, California.
