Credit: Jimmy HubbardAnthrax has shared the video for their song “Monster at the End.” The comic book-style visual finds a man gearing up to confront the eponymous monster, which isn’t quite what he’s expecting. To find out who the real monster at the end is, you can watch the video now at Fangoria.com.

The video, directed by Jack Bennett, uses stop-motion and rotoscoping animation to pay tribute to the feel of comic books and classic horror movies.

“We used a lot of stop-motion effects as well as other special and visual effects in the same way as was done in the original Exorcist film,” says Bennett. “We even added a little bit of grain, some dust and some scratches just to give it that analog feel.”

“Monster at the End” is a track from Anthrax’s latest album, For All Kings. The band will be touring this fall in support of For All Kings alongside Slayer.
