Rounder RecordsHeart just put out its latest studio album, Beautiful Broken, earlier this month, and now comes word that lead singer Ann Wilson will release a new EP by her solo project, The Ann Wilson Thing, this Friday, July 22. The #2 — Focus EP features four tracks — two cover tunes and two originals that Wilson co-wrote with Heart guitarist Craig Bartock, who’s also a member of her solo group.

The covers are renditions of Jimi Hendrix‘s “Manic Depression” and Peter Gabriel‘s “Don’t Give Up,” while the new songs are titled “Fighten fer Life” and “Anguish.” The record is available for pre-order now at TheAnnWilsonThing.com and is priced at $5.95. You can listen to teaser clips of all four tracks at the band’s official YouTube channel.

The Ann Wilson Thing also has announced a trio of upcoming Florida concerts that will take place September 25 in Melbourne, September 27 in Orlando and September 28 on Ponte Vedra. The shows will take place right after Heart’s just-launched Rock Hall Three for All summer tour with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Cheap Trick winds down. That trek, which kicked off Thursday, is plotted out through a September 23 concert in West Palm Beach, Florida. Check out the full itinerary at Heart-Music.com.

In addition to Wilson and Bartock, The Ann Wilson Thing features two other Heart members — drummer Ben Smith and keyboardist Chris Joyner — as well as bassist Andy Stoller. The group’s debut EP, titled #1, was released in October 2015 and also features four songs.

Here is the track list of #2 — Focus:

“Manic Depression”
“Fighten fer Life”
“Don’t Give Up”
“Anguish”

And here are the group’s confirmed upcoming shows:

9/25 — Melbourne, FL, King Center for the Performing Arts
9/27 — Orlando, FL, Plaza Live
9/28 — Ponte Vedra, FL, Pointe Vedra Concert Hall
