Aerosmith Getting Back in the Saddle This Fall; Lines Up San Diego Festival Gig, Brazil Shows

Aerosmith has confirmed its first U.S. concert performance of 2016, a September 16 headlining appearance at the second annual KAABOO Del Mar Festival, which will be held at the Del Mar Racetrack & Fairgrounds in San Diego. The three-day event, which runs September 16-18, also will feature Jimmy Buffett, Gregg Allman, Fall Out Boy, Lenny Kravitz, Hall & Oates, The Avett Brothers, Third Eye Blind, The Goo Goo Dolls, Blues Traveler, Collective Soul, Gin Blossoms, The Struts and many other acts.

In addition, the festival’s lineup boasts several well-known comedians, including Dana Carvey, Janeane Garofalo, Darrell Hammond, Jeff Ross and the cast of the HBO series Silicon Valley. The fest also will offer contemporary art displays, food, a selection of alcoholic beverages and more.

Meanwhile, Aerosmith also has announced a trio of concerts in Brazil this October. The shows are scheduled for October 11 in Porto Alegre, October 15 in Sao Paulo and October 21 in Recife.

In related news, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has lined up a June 15 headlining performance at the inaugural LaconiaFest, a nine-day motorcycle and music festival running from June 11 to June 19 in Laconia, New Hampshire. Tyler joins a previously announced lineup that includes Poison‘s Bret Michaels, Ted Nugent, Sevendust, Fuel, Lita Ford, Warrant, Buckcherry, P.O.D., Adelitas Way, Saving Abel, Trixter and L.A. Guns.
